Radiation graphs
Main count-rate graph first, followed by supporting diagnostics in a compact two-column grid.
Count rate, background and thresholds
Unit: CPM — counts per minute. CPM is the detector pulse rate normalised to one minute. This graph shows raw CPM, the 5-minute rolling rate, dead-time-corrected CPM, the resolved background reference, dynamic +1σ/+2σ/+3σ background bands, and the configured warning and alarm thresholds.
Vertical dotted markers: detected radiation-event peaks. Yellow marks an event around 2–3σ above background, orange marks 3–5σ, and pink/red marks 5σ or higher. These are event markers, not extra threshold lines.
Counts per second
Unit: CPS — counts per second. The number of accepted detector pulses in each second. This gives the fastest view of changing radiation activity and can reveal brief spikes.
Counts per upload
Unit: counts (detector pulses). The non-overlapping number of detector pulses accumulated during each upload/reporting interval. This is an interval total rather than a rate.
Cumulative detector counts
Unit: counts (detector pulses). The long-running detector pulse total. It normally rises continuously; device restarts or counter resets can appear as resets or discontinuities.
Significance above background
Unit: σ (sigma) — standard deviations, dimensionless. This shows how far the measured count rate is from the learned background in statistical terms. The 2σ and 3σ lines provide reference levels for increasingly unusual departures from normal background.
CPM distribution histogram
X-axis: CPM; Y-axis: number of samples. The histogram groups recorded CPM readings into ranges and shows how often each range occurred. A tight distribution usually indicates a stable background; widening or extra peaks can help identify changing conditions or noise.
Dose-rate trend
Unit: µSv/h — microsieverts per hour. This is the estimated or calibrated ionising-radiation dose rate derived from detector counts. Its accuracy depends on the detector, energy response, geometry and the CPM-to-dose calibration used.
Environment and cabinet
Live environmental history from the same freshest sensor stream used by Live Data. Temperature, humidity and pressure are merged even when firmware sends them separately from Geiger measurements.
Detector instrument-health trends
Engineering measurements from compatible HRV9.4+ monitors. These diagnose the instrument itself rather than environmental radiation.
Detector pulse width
Unit: µs. Stable pulse width helps distinguish genuine module output from wiring noise, missing return edges or malformed pulses.
Radiation events
HydroTrack marks statistically elevated periods so the start, peak and end of an event are easy to identify.
